    Dear Crystal,

Thank you for your interest in Elixirist. At the moment, we are merging with our sister company, 48fourteen. This merge serves both sides in offering print editions through Elixirist and eBooks from 48fourteen. While we prepare to fully merge both companies, we are seeking authors interested in exploring the digital world of publishing as well as print. If you aren't interested in publishing in eBook and print formats, we understand and wish you the best. Some authors have stated they want to focus on print editions first and foremost before delving into the digital world. If you are interested, please let us know at submissions@48fourteen.com and we will continue the review process for your work.

Some things to note of the merger:
    1) All work will be published under the 48fourteen brand. We are going to retire the Elixirist brand altogether once the acquisition is complete.
    2) All novels will have an eBook focus with print editions as secondary. 48fourteen believes in the digital book; however, many customers still want books in print and many customers still shop in bookstores and 48fourteen wants to make their work available to all.
    3) All novels will be given the same treatment we give Elixirist authors in terms of marketing, support, editing, etc with the same contracts and commitment.
    4) All novels still have a review process. 48fourteen has ensured they aren't an eBook company who accepts every submission. They're an eBook publisher with a print publisher's strict acceptance procedure. Now that they will be publishing in print as well after acquiring Elixirist, this process will continue to uphold their standards.

    Sincerely,

    Dear Author:

Thank you so much for sending Asabi Publishing your query. We’d like to apologize for the impersonal nature of this letter. Rest assured, we do read every query letter carefully and unfortunately, this project is not right for us. Because this business is very subjective and opinions vary widely, we recommend that you pursue other publishing companies. After all, it just takes one “yes” to find the right match.

We would like to encourage you to keep writing and keep submitting your work to publishers but most importantly to really think about your writing and your subjects. Are you passionate about your story and even more important, is it unique?

One last thing I must share with all authors is that if you can, you should try to attend book fairs. These are excellent events to get your manuscript in publishers hands and talk face to face with them. We love speaking directly to authors at book fairs and it is quickly becoming our preferred method for acquiring new titles.

Good luck with all your publishing endeavors.

    Sincerely,
    Tressa Sanders

    Dear Ms. Lesher,

Thank you for your interest in New Libri Press.

At this time your manuscript does not meet our current needs. As a small press we can only publish a limited number of books per year.

Our inability to accept your manuscript for publishing should not be viewed as a reflection of the quality of your work. Rather, it is a somewhat arbitrary decision as to whether the book will recoup our costs in today’s market. We know that this is a subjective decision. We encourage you to, and assume you will, submit to other publishers.

All of our editors are writers and have been involved in the industry for a long time. We know how hard the process is. We wish you the best of luck in your endeavor and hope you will continue to keep us in mind in the future.

    Sincerely,

    Michael Muller
